In 2016, Frank Rosenthal retired from Purdue University where he taught and did research in occupational and environmental health.   He has been an activist since 1968 when he took part in the sit-ins at Columbia University protesting the Vietnam War.   At the time he was a graduate student in nuclear physics.   He has been riding a bike though out most of his adult life.  He is currently active with Science for the People and Greater Lafayette Progressives.          Sheila Rosenthal is a registered nurse. In the 1970s she organized the “Nurse’s Rights Organization” an independent union of hospital nurses at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Since then she has been involved in a wide variety of peace and social justice activities. She is currently active with Science for the People’s Puerto Rico working group and Greater Lafayette Progressives.
