Pay It No Mind: The Life and Times of Marsha P. Johnson

The Welcoming Congregation Subcommittee will host a discussion of  "Pay It No Mind: The Life and Times of Marsha P. Johnson" on Saturday, August 1 at 4:00 pm at uuctc.org/Sunday and uuctc.org/sunday-dial-in via Zoom. We invite you to watch the video with us at uuctc.org/sunday at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 1, or watch the video at uuctc.org/marsha prior to our discussion (or in case of Zoom difficulties, followed by discussion via uuctc.org/sunday-dial-in). This documentary includes the longest interview ever conducted with Johnson, a trans activist, central figure in the Stonewall Uprising, actress, prostitute and much beloved "saint" by street people in New York City prior to her death in 1992. Johnson addresses issues of identity, activism, sex work and dangers on the streets in NYC. Join us for this illuminating and important film.
