Please join us for “On Restitution and Forgiveness,” an in-person service or Virtual service via Zoom at www.uuctc.org/sunday at 10:30am. Our Order of Service is available at www.uuctc.org/oos. [Rev. Jennie preaching] The Jewish Holy Day, Purim, commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, through the heroic actions of Esther. This year Purim begins at sundown on Thursday, March 13th. For that Holy Day, prayers are said petitioning the need to make right wrongs and grievances done to Jewish people. So this is a fitting Sunday for us to reflect on restitution and forgiveness. This sermon will be inspired by the book, The Sunflower – On the Possibilities and Limits of Forgiveness, by Simon Wiesenthal.
