Speaker: James Anderson

Jim will discuss his recent trip to South Georgia and what is being done to protect the environment there. These islands, located in the sub Antarctic are the breeding grounds of King Penguins, albatross and fur seals. The Ill-fated Shackleton expedition made their way by a small boat to these islands. This pristine environment has been under attack by invasive species such as Reindeer and rats as well as from plastic and climate change.
