Jennie preaching] Discussions with our Social Justice Committee led to the realization that the current rise of White Christian Nationalism in the U.S. had its roots in the Scopes Trial and the fundamentalist rejection of Darwin’s Origin of the Species. We are continuing to educate ourselves about those “beginnings” and to advocate for science in public schools and discourse.
