The Welcoming Congregation Subcommittee will host a showing of “Pay It No Mind: The Life and Times of Marsha P. Johnson” on Saturday, August 1 at 3:00 pm via Zoom. Discussion will follow. This documentary includes the longest interview ever conducted with Johnson, a trans activist, central figure in the Stonewall Uprising, actress, prostitute and much beloved “saint” by street people in New York City prior to her death in 1992. Johnson addresses issues of identity, activism, sex work and dangers on the streets in NYC. Join us for this illuminating and important film.
