Church weapons policy
UUCTC Weapons Policy
Revised by UUCTC Board April 10, 2018
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tippecanoe County (“The Church”) exercises its right under Indiana law to protect the safety and sacred solemnity of its spaces. The possession, use, or distribution of any explosives, guns, or other deadly or dangerous materials or weapons reasonably deemed capable to cause bodily injury are prohibited on the premises of The Church. Persons discovered to be in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the premises under criminal trespass provisions in Indiana State Law. Exempted from this policy are sworn police officers and retired police officers who yearly qualify to meet the requirements of the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act passed by Congress in 2004.
